Welcome Back Ryder Families!

August 31, 2018

Once again summer has flown by and we are opening Ryder doors for another year of exciting learning and hopefully many “firsts” for our youngest students!

Teachers and staff are refreshed and ready to make this year a tremendous growth year for themselves and your students.

We have some Pre-Kindergartners and Kindergartners joining us for their first year in the Ryder building. To help ease this transition we conducted our bus orientation on August 30th.

Our faculty and staff are busy getting the building and classrooms ready for students. Our first day with students will be Wednesday, September 5th. This is a “split” session for Pre-Kindergartners and Kindergartners so please refer to the packet you received for which day to send your child. All 1st and 2nd graders are to attend.

Thursday, September 6th is another “split” session for Pre-Kindergartners and Kindergartners. All 1st and 2nd graders are to attend.

Parent drop-off and pick up times:

  • 7:56AM- students may be dropped off in the circle by the main office entrance (A14)*
  • 8:15AM- Any student who has not reported to class is considered tardy
  • 2:55PM- Parents may pick up students in the gymnasium (enter through the blue door (A15) to the left of the main entrance

We do not have supervision available prior to 7:56 so the main entrance will be locked until then. If you need early care for your child between 7:00 and 7:56 The Children’s Center provides it. Please call 234-2585 and ask for Center Director Renee Swartout.

Please note- students should only be dropped off on the curb side of the circle. The drop-off circle can be very busy in the morning so please drive carefully and remember all traffic laws apply.

Please do not hesitate to call with any questions. See you soon! Sincerely,

Kevin J. Kelly

Principal
