Voters approve budget, bus and reserve fund props

Voters have approved the 2019-20 budget for the Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District with 610 votes in favor (78%) and 169 opposed (22%).

Joshua McCann and Mary E. Black were elected to three-year terms on the C-RCS Board of Education

“We’d like to thank everyone who came out to vote today, and we’re grateful for the community’s support of our district’s programs” said Superintendent Carl Mummenthey. “I’d also like to welcome Mr. McCann to the Board of Education, congratulate Mrs. Black on her re-election, and thank Mrs. LaBarge for her interest in serving the district.”

Also on the ballot:

  • The bus purchase proposition has also passed with 606 votes in favor and 170 opposed,
  • The proposition to establish a capital reserve fund passed with 633 votes in favor and 139 opposed.
  • The Community Library Budget was approved by voters with 599 votes in favor
    and 169 opposed.
