Students will be able to monitor progress through Student Portal

January 25, 2018

Dear High School Parents:

Many of you are familiar with the Parent Portal feature of our student management system (SchoolTool) that allows you to view demographic information, attendance data, and a digital gradebook for each class in which your child is enrolled.

We’re excited to let you know that we will be providing our students with similar access through the Student Portal.  The target date for this to be active is Monday, February 5.  Students will receive an email on that day with logon instructions.

By providing this access, students will be able to monitor their grades throughout each marking period.  Our hope is that this will increase accountability for students and provide them with information that will lead to more targeted discussions with their teachers, counselors, and parents.

The home screen in the Student Portal is identical to that in the Parent Portal and includes demographic information, health information, and familial information.  We suggest that you log into the Parent Portal and ensure that there is not any information that you do not want your child to view.  If there are any changes that need to be made, please notify the guidance office by Wednesday, January 31.  If you currently do not have access to Parent Portal,  please email to request an account.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at your convenience.  We look forward to providing our students with this valuable tool.
