The proposed $39,567,449 budget for the 2016-17 school year has a spending increase of $1,050,955 (2.73 percent). The proposed tax levy increase of $42,154 (0.27 percent) is at the district’s maximum allowable limit as calculated by the state’s tax levy limit formula. This means that a simple majority is needed to approve the school budget.
