Radez helps raise $180k for Ronald McDonald House

June 3, 2019

In May, the Ronald McDonald House in Albany honored all of the schools that read with them for the Read for the Ronald McDonald House project.

Radez Elementary has been involved with the program for two years, and this year Dalton Clapper and Emma Wood accepted participation certificates on behalf of the school.

This year the Ronald McDonald House set a goal of raising $90,000. With the help of the 60 schools that participated in the program, they doubled their goal and raised $180,000! More than 225 families next year can stay because of our combined fundraising.

Donations received in the past four years of the program total over half a million dollars!

This year we were happy to see several other schools from Schoharie County at the awards ceremony. We took a picture with friends from Middleburgh and Schoharie. Way to represent Schoharie County!
