The Department of Environmental Conservation and the Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District are partnering to “Get the Meds Out” of your home’s medicine cabinet.

To provide parents with a free, safe, convenient and environmentally responsible disposal option, a medication collection kiosk is located at:

Cobleskill Police Department
378 Mineral Springs Road
Cobleskill, NY 12043

In the past, consumers were told to flush unwanted drugs, but using a free medication collection kiosk keeps even low levels of drugs from being introduced to NY waters. Wastewater treatment plants may not filter all medications, and fish and other aquatic wildlife experience behavioral and physical changes through continuous exposure to low levels of medications.
