January 9, 2020

The relay team of Justin Schrom, Nick York, Daniel Nicholas and David Nicholas established two new school records.

The Cobleskill-Richmondville High School boys’ indoor track & field team closed out the calendar year with a record-breaking day.

The squad set three school records while competing Dec. 29, 2019, at the Frank DeMasi Invitational at Utica College.

Two of the records were broken by a relay team comprised of seniors Justin Schrom and Nick York along with juniors Daniel Nicholas and David Nicholas. They established new 4 x 200 and 4 x 400 marks, besting the previous records each by three seconds.

Also, Isiah Gerhardt set a new school record in the 200-meter hurdles, in addition to placing third in the 55-meter dash.

Their efforts helped the Bulldogs finish 13th out of 31 schools.

Members of both the girls’ and boys’ indoor track teams will compete this weekend, Jan. 10-12, 2020, at the Dartmouth Relays in Hanover, N.H.
