April 6, 2017

Eleven Golding Middle School students participated in the Jr. Iron Chef competition at SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday, April 1.  Mrs. Blohm, Mrs. Butler, and Principal McDonald served as coaches for the aspiring chefs.

Jr. Iron Chef (JIC) is a competition for teams of regional middle and high school students to develop and cook healthy recipes using a combination of local and USDA/Commodity Foods. The annual event  is sponsored by SUNY Cobleskill, the Bassett Research Institute 5-2-1-0 Initiative, and the Rural Health Education Network of Schoharie, Otsego and Montgomery counties (RHENSOM).
