Voter Information

School budget vote day is May 19, 2015 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Voter eligibility

You may vote if you are 18 years old, a U.S. citizen, a resident of the district for at least 30 days prior to voting day and a registered voter.

Registering to Vote

You must be a registered voter to vote on the annual district budget. District residents who are not yet registered can register by mail or in person with their county Board of Elections. Residents who are not yet registered can download a PDF of the New York State Voter Registration Form.

Where to vote

School district residents in the towns of Worcester, Decatur, Roseboom, Seward, Richmondville, Summit, Jefferson, Blenheim, and Fulton (west of the junction of Tower and Greenbush Roads) vote at Radez Elementary, 319 E. Main Street, Richmondville.

School district residents in the towns of Root, Carlisle, Esperance, Schoharie, Cobleskill, Middleburgh, and Fulton (east of the junction of Tower and Greenbush Roads) vote at Golding Middle School, 155 Washington Ave., Cobleskill.

Absentee Ballots

Cobleskill-Richmondville School District residents who are registered voters and unable to make it to the polls on May 19, 2015 may cast their votes by absentee ballot, if they meet the eligibility requirements.

An application must be completed in order to receive an absentee ballot. Individuals may request an application for absentee ballot if they meet any of the following criteria: out of the area for work, school or vacation; hospitalized or permanently disabled; or confined to the home because of illness.

Completed absentee ballot applications must be received in either the District Office, which is located in the Golding Middle School, 155 Washington Avenue, Cobleskill, NY, 12043 or the Radez School Office, 319 Main Street, Richmondville, NY 12149 by May 12, 2015 if the ballot is to be mailed, or by the day of the election if it is to be received personally.

All completed applications must be received by the school district at the respective polling place no later than 5 p.m. on the day of the vote (May 19, 2015) in order to be counted.

You can download an application for an absentee ballot or contact either the District Office at 234-4032 or the Radez School Office at 294-6621 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., or appear in person or by proxy at either location.

District residents who are not yet registered can register by mail or in person with their county Board of Elections. Qualifications for voting in school elections are as follows:

  • Eighteen (18) years of age or older on May 19, 2015
  • Resident of school district for 30 days prior to May 19, 2015
  • Citizen of the United States
  • Registered voter through his/her county board of elections.
