Students gear up for the Battle of the Books

February 14, 2017

students and parents sitting at tables at the community libraryThe Community Library in Cobleskill recently held pre-game “mock battles” for Battle of the Books. About 40 students, their families, and their coaches (C-R teachers and parents) joined us to practice for the big event on March 25.  The next practice battle is at the Community Library in Cobleskill on March 2, 6 p.m.

Battle of the Books is a collaboration between the C-RCS Library Department and the Community Library. It gives students an incentive to read on their own and then they “battle” by answering trivia questions about the books they’ve read. The purpose is simply to encourage students to read good books and have fun while competing with peers.
