Computers available for F.E.M.A. applications

Computers will be made available at Golding Middle School Library for residents who wish to file a claim with F.E.M.A. on Thursday and Friday.

F.E.M.A. Assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses, and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of the disaster.

Computers will be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to noon on Friday, with afternoon hours to be determined.

A C-RCS staff member will be available to help residents log on to the computer and navagate to the F.E.M.A. site, but they will not be able to assist with the application process.

For those wishing to file at home,you can register online at http://www.DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA(3362) or 1-800-462-7585 (TTY) for the hearing and speech impaired. The toll-free telephone numbers will operate from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (local time) seven days a week until further notice.
