Midterm, Regents Week Schedules

January 12, 2018

Dear Parents & Guardians of Grades 9-12 Students:

The mid-year point for the 2017-2018 school year is almost upon us!  The mid-term schedule runs Monday through Wednesday, January 22-24, 2018.  We will be conducting assessments during this time such as mid-term examinations, final exams for half year courses, and other make-up opportunities.  We have two-hour blocks designed for these days.  Students are required to attend all blocks. If students have a Study Hall block at the beginning or the end of the day, they may arrive late or leave early with written parental permission (see attached form).  The written documentation must be accounted for in our Attendance Office.

Regents Week, which runs concurrently with the mid-term schedule, is Monday through Thursday, January 22-25, 2018.  Please refer to the below schedule—students needing to take Regents exams during this testing period have already been notified.

With school in regular session for Mid-Term Days and Regents Week, school transportation will run their regularly scheduled times in both the morning and the afternoon.  No alternate transportation will be provided by the district.  If your child has a Study Hall during the first and/or third mid-term exam blocks and they have permission from you to leave early or come to school late, you are responsible for providing transportation.

Late buses will run as scheduled.  Late Bus Passes are in the High School Office and should be completed for students needing to be dropped off at one of the six predetermined destinations/stops in the District.

Career and Technical Education Center (CTE) Students

The Career and Technical Center will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 23 & 24, 2018.  Students will follow the High School block schedule during the Mid-Term days.  On Monday, January 22, 2018, there may be some scheduling conflicts with the CTE schedule while both schools are in session.  CTE is aware of our schedule and realizes that some students have a commitment to a scheduled exam, mid-term, or class instruction at their home school during this time.  CTE busses will run at their regularly scheduled times.  Some alternate times will be made available as well.  Please have your child stop down at the High School Office if they have questions about this.
