Golding students honored for character

Three Golding Middle School students have been honored for exemplifying good character.

This is a new awards program sponsored by Donna Lavigne, Lavigne Agency, Cobleskill to honor a 6th, 7th and 8th graders who best demonstrates the Golding character word of the month. January’s character word was empathy.

January’s winners are:

  • Kayley Sperbeck, grade 6
  • Connor Bender, grade 7
  • Kaleb Benac, grade 8

Winners received a trophy, a $50 cash award, and a letter commending their virtue.
