Fun for any age, Seussical hits CRHS stage

March 6, 2017

Cobleskill-Richmondville High School will present the musical Seussical on March 10 and 11 at 7:30 p.m.

The story follows the antics of the Cat in the Hat as she is showing Jojo all her great thinks. Jojo lives in Whoville with her parents, The Mayor and Mrs. Mayor. They don’t understand Jojo’s thinks, so they send her off to military school.

Horton the Elephant, who lives in the Jungle of Nool, happens to find the Who’s, as they are drifting by on a speck of dust, and he and Jojo become friends. The Wickersham Siblings and Sour Kangaroo find out that Horton is talking to a dust speck and chaos ensues and he loses the Whos.

While looking for his lost clover, Mayzie La Bird convinces Horton to sit on her egg and she takes off for Palm Beach.  Horton then gets carted off to auction and sold to the Circus McGurkus where Gertrude McFuzz, who likes Horton, finally finds him. A court hearing follows… What happens to Horton and the Whos? Will Jojo save the day? Does Mayzie come back?

Come out March 10 or 11 and relive your favorite Dr. Seuss stories. Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 for students and Seniors and $8 for adults. Call and reserve yours now at 234-3565 ext. 1189 or email to
