From the Principals: Welcome back to C-RHS

August 29, 2017

Dear High School Families,

Hello!  We hope this letter finds you well and we hope that you’ve had some time to relax and enjoy the summer with your family and friends.  As August progresses, the office is in full swing and we’re both eagerly anticipating the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year.  We’re all getting excited to welcome your children back to school!

Prior to school starting, I wanted to touch base with you on a few things.  First and foremost, I’d like to invite our incoming ninth grade students (or students in any grade who are new to the district) and families to “Walk the Halls” at the High School on Thursday, August 31st from 6:00-7:00 p.m.  The purpose of this event is for students to familiarize themselves with the building in a relaxed environment.  This is a very casual event, as there will be no formal presentation and you may come and go as you please within the set time frame.  Keep in mind that this is not a time for your child to get his or her schedule, meet teachers, or access lockers.  If you choose to attend, please enter and exit through our main entrance located at the front of the building just behind the flagpole.

For your reference, we have also included the attached “Frequently Asked Questions” sheet.  Please use this sheet as a guide for general questions and important dates.  As indicated on this sheet, the first day of school for freshmen students is Wednesday, September 6th.  All students will be in attendance on Thursday, September 7th.  Please refer to the attached Homeroom Assignments sheet to locate your Homeroom.  Returning students should also review this sheet in the event of a Homeroom location change.

In closing, we again want to express how excited we are to welcome your children back to school.  I am looking forward to an exciting school year.  I can’t wait to see our students on September 6th and 7th!
