C-R’s new late bus routes begin today

October 10, 2017

In response to increased demand for late bus routing, the Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District is implementing a new late bus schedule with designated drop-off points throughout our district.

Beginning today, the late bus will be available to all students Monday through Thursday, except on days preceding a holiday or school vacation, and on days that after school activities are cancelled.

On days late buses are available, a late bus will depart from Golding Middle School and Radez Elementary School at 4:30 p.m.  The buses will travel to C-R High School, where students will transfer to one of two routes:

  • Route #1 will travel to the Radez Elementary School (arrival @ 4:50 p.m.), the Summit Fire Hall (arrival @ 5 p.m.), and the Mesick Road Church in Seward (arrival @ 5:25 p.m.)
  • Route #2 will travel to Golding Middle School (arrival @ 4:50 p.m.), the Shad Point Park-and-Ride (arrival @ 5 p.m.) and the Carlisle Fire Hall (arrival @ 5:17 p.m.).

Students in grades K-5 will only be dropped off if a parent/guardian or other responsible adult is waiting for the student at his/her stop.  In the event no adult is present at the stop, the child will be transported back to his/her school, the parent will be notified, and the driver will await parental pick-up.

Students in grades 6-12 will be dropped off at their stop without an adult present.

Students wishing to ride the late bus must secure a signed bus pass from their school’s main office.  Students will not be permitted to ride the late bus without a signed pass.

We hope many students are able to take advantage of our new late bus routes, which we have expanded from two to four days each week.  If you have any questions regarding our late bus schedule, please feel free to contact our transportation office at 518-234-7491.
